Peter Siegenthaler
back to the people Peter Siegenthaler

Peter.

  1. Who are you and what do you do
when you're not being interviewed for the neighbourhood association?

    I'm Peter Siegenthaler.
    When I'm not giving interviews,
I'm out in nature a lot, walking, reading,
    or volunteering somewhere.

  2. Complete the sentence:
    “Robehuuse is, for me, ...”

    home.
Here I'm surrounded by people I know,
    people you value,
where we have a village life and a market.

  3. What's your favourite place in Robehuuse –
    and why exactly there?

I feel at home in the whole neighbourhood,
whether it's Rössliplatz or anywhere else.
    People know each other here,
and I have contact with other people.
We greet each other and talk,
    and there's a neighbourhood life
that I've valued for more than 43 years.

  4. Hand on heart:
What sometimes gets on your nerves about Robehuuse?

    Stubborn people
who won't let other opinions stand
    and don't listen.

  5. You get 10,000 francs and have to spend it all on Robehuuse.
What do you do with it?

I'd celebrate a huge village festival
    across all of Robehuuse.

  6. What's something you're really good at
that almost nobody knows about you?

    I'm good at organising.
I really like working very precisely,
    so it works out.

  7. What would someone wake you up for in the middle of the night?

    You can always wake me
    when someone needs help.

  8. Are you team dog, cat, elephant or unicorn?

    Team people.

  9. Which well-known person would you like to have a coffee with
    on Rössliplatz –
and what would you talk about?

    Petra Ivanov.
    She's a writer,
and we'd probably talk about her books,
    which I love to read.

  10. Why so much commitment?

Because it simply makes me happy.
I like being in contact with people.
    People say thank you,
and something good always comes back.
That gives me energy and joy.

  11. Who from Robehuuse should we interview next,
    and why?

    Fritz Hofer.
Before he retired he was the caretaker
    at the Robehuuse schoolhouse
and knows a great many stories and people
    in Robehuuse and Wetzikon.
